In 1952, Haj Abdou opened the “Abdou Mostafa for handmade rugs” in Downtown, Cairo. Since then, the business grew impressively and became a family company that today is in its third generation and has been synonym of quality for handmade rugs and kilims for over 75 years.
Such an achievement was conquered by being aware of new trends at the same time than keeping the quality and luxury that made the brand to be internationally recognized.
We are constantly updating our collections and providing extra attention to our customers’ demands. We provide a wide range of valuable and fine rugs and kilims, such as antique rugs, old design rugs, modern rugs, dyed rugs, silk and wool/ silk rugs, plus special services that prolong your rug's life.
Each customer's requirement is unique; thus, we manufacture our rugs considering color, size and design preferences.

Being the biggest Egyptian handmade rugs producer in the market means we can produce and design rugs in any color and size. For this, we count on our own factories, where Abdou Mostafa rugs are designed, dyed, weaved and washed. Our specialized team shares our core values and is committed with excellence during all the processes, as with the restoration services we offer. Together we work giving life to over 500 rugs and kilims per year under the ISO certification.
It’s a great achievement having our rugs as the only ones in Egypt to be exported all over the world, and because new times demand new approaches, we aim to provide the best customer experience and satisfaction wherever our clients are. We currently count with three branches (Fifth settlement, 6th of October and Obour City) and we are working to make our products even easier to be found in the different corners of the globe.
